Who are we?

My mother was a primary school teacher her entire working life. From her, I learned how wonderful it is to work with children. They're honest, curious, and you can make them so enthusiastic about the world around us.

During our studies at Delft University of Technology, Jimmy and I became increasingly aware of a major problem. In the Netherlands, we have a significant shortage of people who can make things. From skilled construction workers to smart technicians. If we want to remain competitive, we need more makers.

Many children don't discover how much fun technology can be until they're too young. That's why we created Zappie, a box that introduces children to science and technology through play.
