Zappie is an innovative startup with a mission: to encourage children to make things with their hands and to spark their curiosity about science and technology. With educational toys, we offer children aged 5 to 9 a fun and educational way to build and play.

Our primary product is a subscription service where we deliver a Zappiebox every month full of materials and instructions to build your own toys.

Vacancies

Student Customer Service

Hybrid or remote | minimum 9 hours per week
Salary: €16.80 all-in gross per hour

Zappie is growing rapidly, and our community of parents and grandparents is growing with us. That's why we're looking for an enthusiastic student worker who can help parents and customers with a smile via email and chat. You don't need customer service experience; if you're sociable, patient, and digitally savvy, we'll teach you the rest.

At Zappie, you'll work flexible shifts (morning or afternoon) that you can schedule yourself, ideally alongside your studies! You'll be part of a dedicated, young team that works every day to inspire children with sustainable and educational toys.

What are you going to do?

  • You answer customer questions via email (think: orders and deliveries).
  • You think about how we can improve our service.
  • You communicate with the team about problems, frequently asked questions and recurring feedback.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are a higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) student and will continue studying for at least 12 months.
  • You are available at least 9 hours per week (6 shifts of 1.5 hours).
  • You speak and write Dutch fluently.
  • You are sociable, patient and service-oriented.
  • You can switch well between digital systems and work accurately.
  • You remain calm and friendly, even when a customer is critical.
Internships

Every day, we're building a brand that inspires children to become creators, and we could really use your help. At Zappie, you learn by doing, not by watching. We give you responsibility, trust, and the opportunity to quickly make a difference.

What we expect from you:

You're eager to learn, you take initiative, and you're a hands-on person. We're looking for someone who'll be a full-time member of our team. Full-time, in the office. Because you learn the most by truly participating in the construction process.

What we offer:

You'll join a creative, young work environment where you'll have plenty of room to grow. You'll contribute to a meaningful product and receive an internship allowance of €400 per month.

We are looking for reinforcement in the following areas:

  • Marketing: influencer marketing, social advertising, social media
  • Content: video/editing, storytelling, content creation
  • Product: developing new toy boxes
  • Design: graphic design (branding, visuals, instruction booklets)
  • Data: analyzing customer behavior, marketing and production.
  • Sales Zappie Edu: B2B to after-school care centers and schools
