What age is Zappie for?
The Zappie boxes are specially designed for children aged 5 - 9+. The activities and materials in each box are tailored to this age group to be both fun and educational.
How does a subscription work?
Every month you will receive a box of educational toys. It contains all the materials and super clear step-by-step instructions that allow children aged 5 to 9 to build their own toys. The themes are based on topics within Technology & Science and are carefully curated to be both fun and educational.
Can we get double boxes?
At Zappie, we ensure that you don't receive duplicate boxes. Our system tracks exactly which boxes you have already received. In addition, our system recognizes new orders and links them to previous subscriptions or individual boxes. Every box you receive is recorded in our system. We also check shop orders on the same account.
We have many different projects, so you can extend subscriptions without the risk of repetition.

Can children build independently?
Great question! Our projects are designed to be just challenging enough, like a good puzzle. Children learn by building, trying, and discovering.
Each box contains a step-by-step instruction booklet with clear illustrations. We test our designs extensively with children aged 5 to 9 and keep refining them until the building process is smooth and fun.
With a little perseverance and the instruction booklet, most children manage to build their project all by themselves and play with it too.
Do I need to buy any materials myself?
No, everything you need is included in the Zappiebox, even the batteries. So you don’t need to go looking for screwdrivers or paint yourself.
For some additional games or challenges in the booklet, you might need extra materials (such as a pencil or scissors), but that is optional and not required for the building process itself.
